Freddy Ludvik Larsen is a freelance photographer based in Alta, Norway.
In Freddy's own words:
- Photographing and documenting the lives of ordinary people is the closest to my heart. People never cease to fascinate me - no matter where I am in the world. Every single one of the 7 billion people on this planet has their own unique story to tell. It requires intense attention to detail as well as hard work, to capture only a small part of the history of the people I photograph. To be able to tell a part of someone's story is huge for me.
- I am also passionate about music, and see major challenges and joy in photographing concerts and the "life" behind music. There is a reason why thousands of people around the globe go to rock concerts and I find something quite distinctive in capturing the source of this energy.
He summarizes his work as follows: "When you shoot, you capture a moment. A good photograph allows you to study and experience a moment in several minutes. "
- I have made photo-reportages from around the world, including Norway, Iran, Tibet Plateau, Ethiopia, Algeria and Berlin. Since 2006 my reports have been featured often in the media.
In addition, he has also taken press and cover photos for many bands and artists. He also keeps photography courses and lectures. In 2012 Larsen was the championships artist for the international soccer tournament "Open Nordic Tournament", where he exhibited a series of photographs printed on aluminum. These included prints of Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Roger Waters, Zakk Wylde, and Kaizers Orchestra along with photos of several local and other international bands.
- Apart from media reports and band photography, on request I am also available for confirmations and weddings or family portraits. I have also taken pictures of schools and play-schools.
